All about SoilCares

Putting the knowledge in the hands of the farmers...

Worldwide population is increasing and food production has to double to keep up with the growing demand. As much as 60% of crop yields depend on soil fertility. If farmers had easy, affordable and reliable access to information about their soil fertility status, they will increase their yields and participate in bridging the world food gap.

We provide the world’s farming community with data-based precision farming tools in order to extensively increase crop yields.

... by giving them access to the knowledge of our experts

At SoilCares, we give farmers across the world continuous access to up-to-date practical information about their crops and soils.

Each day, our agronomists and scientists put their growing knowledge in our self-learning database and give farmers access to it using in-house developed monitoring tools so they can obtain on-the-spot, fast and reliable data and custom-made fertility management recommendations

We increase yields both in quality and quantity in a fast, reliable and affordable way.

The SoilCares Global Soil Database

Our unique World Soil Database now operational in more than 10 countries on 3 continents is permanently expanded by SoilCares’ dedicated research team and we strive to develop it until it covers the entire world, to be achieved by the end of 2019.

Find below what countries are calibrated, in process and on our wish list, and contact us if you want to participate.

Agricultural experts on a mission

SoilCares is born in 2013 in Wageningen, the Netherlands, as part of the Dutch Sprouts family. Dutch Sprouts is a spin off of BLGG Laboratories, which was sold to Eurofins in 2013. Expertised agronomists and researchers work together at SoilCares to make agricultural knowledge accessible and affordable to all farmers worldwide by bringing new technologies literally into their hands.

Integrate farmers in technology

As a Software Developement Manager I convert innovative agricultural ideas into applications on several platforms using the latest technology available. We start with farmer experience and then work backwards to the technology, which helps us to integrate farmers in technology without them feeling that it’s a change or struggle. Being part of this impact on farmers’ lives all around the world is more than words can say.
